Adding the DP to a room only AP reservation?

I know you can do it, but when do you have to do it by?

If you currently have a room only reservation, you will have to book a ticketless package to add the dining plan and then cancel the room only reservation. The package has a different deposit, final payment deadline, change and cancellation penalties than a room only reservation.

It will need to be changed to a ticketless package. At the time you add the DDP, your reservation will no longer be room only. You will need to either pay more to reach the package deposit requirement (unless the one night deposit meets or exceeds that) or pay the reservation in full if you are within the pay in full deadline for packages. You won't be able to wait until check-in to pay the balance anymore.

The reservations CMs can usually make the change so that you don't even know you have been switched to a package until you are asked to pay.

Packages must be changed no later than 3 days in advance of arrival, so you need to add a dining plan before then if you want one.
