Hey guys! :wave2:

We go to WDW next month :woohoo: Staying 14 nights at POR and 2 nights an YC.

We have never donr the dining plan before, but am thinking of doing it for the YC days.

The question is, can we add this on to our reservation now? We have booked with Disney. Or did it have to be booked at the time of the hotel booking?

Also, does anyone have an idea of how much the Deluxe dining would cost for 2 adults for 3 days/2 nights?

Thank you :thumbsup2

I would look at the menus http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/diningmain.cfm#disneydining
Try and add up what it would cost you to pay for meals and compare to cost of DDP.
We did 16 nights last August with free DDP, averaged value $50pppd but we ate far more than we would if paying for it, dessert every lunch which we would not do and a dessert each for evening meal, if paying we would share. No way would it be worth paying for DDP.
Also wouldn't consider Deluxe DDP, regular DDP was more than enough food but its exactly what we eat, lunch CS, dinner TS & a snack.

Am I missing something here? Can you add it only to a couple of days of your holiday? Are you booked with Disney UK?

As far as I am aware, in order to get the dining plan, you have to book a package including ticket. If you are staying at the Yacht Club for the first 2 nights, this shouldn't be a problem as (technically) you could split out the accommodation reservations and split the first 2 nights off to form your package, but with the ticket lasting the 14 days (or 21, whichever ticket you buy). However, if your YC days are at the end of your holiday, your package will start from the first date and therefore your tickets etc will be from the first date. If you try to seprate the 2 YC days from the rest, it won't form part of a package.

Does that make sense? In other words, if you booked with Disney UK, you can't just do the dining plan for 2 nights of your stay. Not without purchasing additional tickets.

You're right, you need a package with tickets in order to purchase the dining plan. I suppose you could book a 5-day ticket for the YC nights and do it that way. It would be expensive and rather pointless though, especially if you've already booked tickets for the duration of your holiday.
