Adding the Dining Plan on

Silly question, but can I add the dining plan on upon checkin? Or maybe a week or two before?

Cannot do it at check-in. It must be at least 72 hrs before arrival.

Cash reservation: No later than 3 days in advance of check in day.

DVC points reservation: No later than 2 days in advance of check in day.

If I already have my own park tickets...make a reservation at Pop Century.....can I still add dining on 72 hours before? In other words...do I have to have the room reservations and park tickets (package) at Disney in order to add the dining plan?

You can only add the dining plan as part of a package (so room plus tickets purchased through Disney)

They've actually started offering ticketless dining/room packages. So you could technically still add the dining plan, however, when you do it will need to converted to a package.

You'd be refunded whatever you paid on the RO and you'd need a new deposit or you'd need to pay the ticketless package in full (depending upon when you're switching over).

This is correct. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other.
