Adding someone to reservation while on vacation

My husband may or may not be able to join us on our trip. I made the reservation in just my name and my kids and purchased the dining plan. If at some point he will be able to join us for a couple days at the end of the reservation, could I just add him on at the front desk?

It is the dining plan on the reservation that will hold this up. If it weren't on there, shouldn't be an issue, but it is and it will be an issue.

From what I have read in the past, this is indeed able to be done. It was kind of the work around for someone not coming the entire time not having to purchase the dining plan. The one problem is that the person being added at the front desk can not take magical express from the airport because they are not already on the reservation.

Hopefully someone with recent experience will chime in and let you know if this is still the case.
