We were able to add our foster daughter to our cruise today (yay!). We cruise on Feb 4 so the onboard stuff ticketed stuff is "sold out". Our TA said that DCL says the "character experience" was sold out and we wouldn't be able to add our foster daughter to that- I'm not sure which event that is.

I have asked my travel agent to check on these 2 questions but I wanted to check with you guys this evening.

1) When we checked in a couple weeks ago it was DW, DD, and myself so I got 3 tickets to the meet and greets. Now that there are 4 of us and no availability for those events, can one of us adults sacrifice our ticket so that the foster daughter can go? I figured this wouldn't be an issue, surely they aren't checking names and stuff?

2) If the character brunch is sold out, is there any chance of getting her added once on board if we explain the situation that she is a foster child and we were not able to add her to the cruise until late? Maybe since we are a family of 4 now they can add her on board? I didn't know if there was any flexibility once on board.

Thanks

1) Yes.
2) It's possible, if you go immediately upon boarding and tell them the situation they may be willing to work with you.

Who do we need to talk to about getting her added to the brunch. Would we go to the Maitre D or would we go to guest services?

You would need to go to whichever restaurant they are doing dining requests/changes in. It should be in the first day's Navigator.

I believe the Character breakfast tickets are handled at the Port Adventures desk. At least that's where they used to be handed out before the online reservations started. I'd start there.

In my experience, you are generally seated by yourself at character breakfasts. In which case, the 3 of you would be seated at a 4-top table most likely. So I would hope it's a fairly easy thing to add your foster daughter. Good luck!
