Adding someone to FD ressie?

When is the latest I can add someone to my FD hotel reservations and them still be able to get free dining? I understand magic band at checkin, not same Fastpasses, and the ADRs. Also this person would be the 2nd adult in room.

I have done it in the past about 2 weeks before our checkin date. I just want to make sure everything is still the same. I think it was 2009.

The DDP has to be added at least 3 days prior to arrival, so I would think adding someone to a package with the DDP would be the same (although I'd maybe try to do it a little earlier, if possible, just to make sure there's no problem ).
