Has anyone had a problem adding to their party's PS's? My brother and my cousin jsut told me they might want to come too. My party for DS's 3rd b-day will go up from 16 -18 people at the crystal palace and the PS for Chef Mickey's will go from 5-6 people. Has anyone been told that they cannot be accomidated adding more people? I know when I called for CP and CM they had one spot opened becuase I had bigger parties. Please let me know if you have ever added people and if there was a problem.

I have tried adding or subtracting people from a PS before, and it wasn't fun. They had to cancel the first PS, and see if the same time and party number was available. You can call WDW-DINE, and see what they suggest. It wouldn't be a problem if you had 10 people and only 8 showed up. But I don't know what they would do if you showed up with more people than the PS was set for. I have PS's for CRT breakfast for 13 people, and I know that one will not be going on the trip now. I am not going to change or cancle them. I may never get them back again. I hope that it's not a problem for you. Good luck, I hope that it works out. :)

In this vein has anyone had less than the number booked show up for the meal and was there a problem being seated because not all showed up? thanks

Arriving with less guests is very easy to handle. Most restaurants have an abundance of small tables (2's and 4's) its the 5's, 6's and up that are few and far between. So I would not worry about making a PS and then arriving with less guests, and I would not change the PS unless there was a drastic reduction (like 12 to 5).

Arriving with more guests can sometimes be challenging. From 2 to 3 or 4, not much of a problem, but once you crack that 5 make, the seating staff will have less options. And please, count all children, even infants that will not be dining! The table size is based on the number of guests seated at it, not on the number just eating.

My suggestion, since getting a PS for the place and time that you want is sometimes difficult, I would never call WDW-DINE to make any alterations. I would call the restaurant direct to make any minor changes. As long as the seating staff is aware of the change, you will help them better plan their "turns" rather than arriving at the podium with your little secret!

You would need to rebook and cancel...I have had to deal with that also.

Just remember...rebook first..then cancel. I would call and rebook right now.

I never thought of that. Rebook and then just cancel when I find out which of the two I dont need. Thanks!

It's a good thing I have all of you..I would be calling my cousin and brother everyday until they gave me an answer!

Goes to show you just how different my brother and I are..I am packed and have all of my things laminated and he is still tring to decide if he is going to go!!! :p That's what keeps our family interesting I guess!!!

Here the deal. I called to get another reservation and they told me they had nothing available for my date. I had a party of 5 and I needed to chenage it to a party or 6 for CM. So I called back and asked about the tavbles..my question was does a party of 5 get put at a table that can accomidate 6..so could my brother just show up. She said let me dig into the system a little further and look at the table you have been assigned (I had no idea they could even do this!) It turns out we were put at a party that could accomidate up to 8 people (which is good because my dad is 380lbs and probably could use the extra room) Anyway, my brother was able to be added to my reservation no problem!

Also, I needed to make a reservation for a party of 14 as oppose to 12 at CP. Now this was a little disheartening because only a party of 12 or less can sit together..otherwise, we just have to sit near each other. But, I did find out that you can request a cake for your B-day person and have it brought out! Again, news to me! At CP you just tell them at the pudium that you would like this, but at Chef Mickeys you call ahead of time. So I am off to make that phone call, but I had to let all of you know all the info I just found out!!!

HTH someone else!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
