adding people to reservation?

Reservation is for 9/5, we have DDLx dining, when will be the last day I could add a person to our reservation? Would it be 9/2? I didn't want to have to come up with the entire amount so I booked 2 instead of 4 and I believe the CM said, "no fee if your adding to your reservation, only if your downgrading". I have all the $ now!!! whoo hoo!

There isn't a change fee outside of the 45 days I believe, but you'll have the cost for 2 more people of course. I would just call and ask.... Glad the money came through and you can add more to your vacation.

I just checked the back of my reservation confirmation paperwork and this is what it says:
For a change made 44 days or less prior to guest arrival that results in a change in the package price, a change fee of $50.00 per package plus any change fees assessed by hotels or other suppliers will be charged. Such change fees must be paid in addition to any increase in the package price resulting from the change.

So it does look like there is a fee within your 45 days, even if it increases the price of the package. I'd still call and ask though.....maybe they make an exception if you're increasing the price of your package by 2 additional people.

Other DISers have reported that Disney will often waive the $50 change fee if the package price is increased. So you may be able to add them without the change fee and only be charged the additional adult fee (for room & dinning).

I believe the deadline to add additional people to a dinning plan is a least 3 days before you arrive.

Yea, that's what I'd figured.....that's why I added that the OP should still call. Disney is usually pretty decent about stuff like that. Good to know that the dining plan has to be upgraded within 3 days of checking in.

While Disney usually waives the $50 change fee, there is another $15 fee for making last minute changes that is rarely waived. People have said this fee goes into effect somewhere around 10 - 14 days before arrival.

If you are using DME, you'll need to contact them to add the 2 additional people at least the day before. They won't get yellow luggage tags, however.

For my peace of mind, knowing how wonky the Disney site can be sometimes, I would not wait until the absolute deadline day to add them.

Wonder where the $15.00 fee is mentioned? I looked on the back of my reservation paperwork and don't see that...but goodness there is a lot to read so maybe I missed it.

Disney is usually really good to cover their butts with all this 'nitty gritty' text, I'd be interested to see what they classify the $15.00 fee as.
