Adding park day at end of trip if flight gets canceled (snowstorm)

We will be in Disney Sunday-Tuesday. We have are staying onsite and have purchased 3-day park-hopper tickets. Looking ahead to the potential major winter storm expecting to hit the Midwest on Tuesday, I realize we may not be able to fly home Tuesday night as planned (our flight leaves Orlando at 9pm).

If our flight ends up being canceled and we have to stay another night, would Disney make us purchase 1-day park tickets or would they allow us to add an additional day on to our 3-day hopper tickets? If we can "add on", do we need to do so before we arrive on Sunday?

You can add days into normal MYW tickets through the last day of park entry
(And no longer than 14 days after 1st use)

If you are using the tickets Sun - Tue, you would be able to upgrade on Tuesday.

This has happened to us twice. Love the bonus day, especially when the bonus is day eight added on to a week and the ticket cost was so minimal. Plus the extra hotel night, meals and vacation day from work.

Just don't forget to upgrade before you leave the park, although some have been able to upgrade afterwards (on that last day) outside of the park. I wouldn't chance it though, as it would be just so much easier to do in the park.

This is going to be our exact same situation, though we're flying to Indiana where it's really only supposed to be rain I think. We'll see...

Last year we went to Marco island for 2days after we went to Disney. Our flight was cancelled due to a blizzard and we ended up going back to Disney. The first person I spoke to on the phone told me it wouldn't be a problem to add days onto our ticket. When we got back to the Orlando area I called Disney to add our days back on and the new person told me I couldn't because our tickets had already ended. Long story short... We went to guest services at downtown Disney... They added they extra days on and she even did something a little extra. They were very accommodating... So if you get stuck don't worry about it and have a good time!
