Adding parents to FTP allowed?

My parents are joining us in Disney but won't be staying the entire trip. We are staying in a 2Br at OKW so there is no occupancy problem. But my agent says that they have to have a length of stay pass for the entire trip in order to be on our reservation. They already have a 4 day parkhopper. And if we don't put them on the reservation, they won't be issued a key. I would also be worried the whole time that we are doing something that's not legal. Any thoughts? Have you added someone without them having to get an unlimited pass?

I don't think the rules would allow this, but I share your pain (over the decision). On the one hand, they already have a pass, but then wanting to follow the rules.

With the cost savings for the FTP, would they be interested in getting those and saving their park hoppers? Just a thought.

Well it doesn't make sense for them to get length of stay passes if they have hoppers already. I'd wait and talk to the people at guest services at OKW if they want to have additional keys and see what they say about it or you could call Disney directly and ask them.

Wait until you get there and they should be able to work it out at teh desk. DVC properties are a little more used to this type of situation, and frankly often a little more willing to work with you.

I thought I read a similar question regarding someone who had an AP. I think the rule was 2 people (not sure if they had to be adults) had to purchase LOS passes but that the extra people could have AP or PH passes.
