Adding on the Dining Plan?

Is it possible to add the dining plan to tickets that were bought through another source? We're attending a conference with my husband in Feb. and staying either at the Dolphin, Swan or Boardwalk Inn I think. We're planning on making the hotel res. through the mtg planners to get a reduced rate and We're also going to buy reduced price tickets as well, but there doesn't seem to be a way to add the dining plan on their website, so I wanted to see if anybody had done it or knew if it was possible.

If I can't add it on, how much should I plan on spending for 3 per day if we eat similar to the deluxe plan?

You cannot add the dining plan to special discounted conference reservations. You can add it only to Magic Your Way package reservations (and DVC reservations but that's another story). And the plan is not tied to your tickets, but to your resort reservation. Unless you give up whatever booking discount you have through your convention and book a Magic Your Way package with tickets through Disney, you won't be able to get a dining plan.

The dining plans are never available with stays at the Swan or Dolphin as they are not Disney resorts (whether or not there is a convention involved).

Thank you! I didn't figure there was, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

The room rate for the Boardwalk is $199, so I think we'll stick with that plus the cheap tickets and just do our own thing on the food I guess. I hate that, but I think we'll still come out with a deal.
