Sorry if this a stupid question, I am just doing a little research.......

Why do you "add-on" if you are eligible to stay at any of the resorts? Thanks, and feel free to make fun of my ignorance/innocence. :goodvibes

Easy...to cure addonitis. He He. I only bought 150 points with my first contract and I want to add on to get more points each year to stay longer and/or larger accomodations. :thumbsup2

Because DVC is addictive!!! And the more you stay, the more you want to stay, so you need more points! :-)

Adding on at a different resort is also helpful because it gives you "Home Resort" privileges at more than one resort. Though you only have "Home Resort" privileges (e.g. the 11 month reservation window) for the number of points you have for that resort. For example, if you have 200 OKW points and 120 BCV points, at the 11 month window you can only book a BCV reservation that takes 120 points or less, though if you've borrowed or banked additional BCV points you can use those, too. Hope that's not confusing.

I knew there had to be a simple answer.....

I understand now, thanks to your responses.

I am trying to get info on this because my husband may be retiring from the USMC in the next 5 years and we will settle on the East coast or the Deep South, and we love Disney, so I think this may be a good investment for us and our family.

Thanks again. :disrocks:
