Adding on days to tickets?

I'm trying to work something out here. My group will be at DL June 14-16 (Thur to Sat). We have friends we're trying to convince to come with us that weekend, but they already planned to go down the weekend of the 30-31 (Sat and Sun).

Now, since they were already planning on going two days, I was telling them they could upgrade to the three day for just a little bit more, use a day to go with us, and the other two days at the end of the month. But after I thought about it, doesn't a ticket have to be used within 13 or 14 days of the first use or something?

So I'm trying to figure this out without them having their ticket expire. Maybe buying a two day hopper, using one day with us (the Sat) and another for their vacation (the other Sat) and then adding on another day? Is that even possible? By adding on, I mean going up to some desk and paying a discounted price. But I don't know if you can really do that.

Does anyone have an idea? Or is this just not plausible? They're on a budget, which is why I thought of buying one hopper in the first place. I doubt an AP would be possible.

Thanks in advance!

I think you are right, I think they would be past that 13/14 day period. I dont think they could do it. They might check on upgrading to an AP. That might be a little less then getting new tickets. Watch for black out dates.

yes you can upgrade the tickets as long as they havent expired. I think I would look into upgrading to an AP as well but then the cheaper AP's black out weekends so that might not work if the last days of your trip are on the weekend.
