Adding on at different resort

Something I'm not quite clear on: I currently own at BWV, and have done an add on there of 86 points. If I decided to get some points at HH, would I have to get 150 minimum, or is is treated just like another add on? I noticed there is currently a resale available at HH for 100 points - kinda interesting to me, but not sure if I could actually be allowed to do that. Who is eligble to buy a 100 point resale at HH?

Minimum 150 point purchase applies only to new purchasers from Disney. If you have points already (at BWV in your case) and want to add on through Disney at another resort (at HH in your case) you can do so by buying a minimum of 25 points if paying cash, 50 point minimum if you want to use Disney financing, and 100 point minimum if you want to use Magical Beginnings. Buying 100 point resale is possible. Only thing that can prevent it is Disney's exercising its right of first refusal, which it will likely not exercise if you are already an existing owner with 150 minimum. (and generally has not exercised even if you are not). Only thing with resale is that points may have different use year and thus will get different ID number from Disney but that simply creates an exercise in making sure you keep track of the different banking dates.

The only change from drusba's explanation is that currently at HH and VB add-ons thru DVC will qualify for Magical Beginnings with 50 points or more.

However you purchase the add-on, you are not confined to the 150 point minimum needed for an initial purchase thru DVC.

That 100 point resale is 6500 or 65 per point. And, there are no points available!

Say you get it for 60 - closing is another 400 so you are at 6400.

Through Disney, you can buy 100 for 6500 if you use MB and you keep your use year.
