For those of you that have added on to your original contracts at a resort other than the one you first chose, how did you decide exactly how many points to add on? Did you look at what it took at the new resort for a specific room size in a specific season of the year or did you add say 50 points to an original allotment to give you a specific total number of points? Or was there another way that you determined how to add-on?

As you suggest, I looked at how many nights, what season and what type of room I would probably be using most often and then looked at what the maximum points needed (it bridges two seasons and could include Fri/Sat) would be and added a little cushion. Some people plan on banking/borrowing to give them more days at their added-on resort or alternating resorts year to year.

Our first add-on was driven by the amount of points needed to stay at Vero for a week in the off season. The second add-on was a price increase coming soon panic buy. There are lots of different reasons to do it but no matter what, I think that you can never have enough points. :bounce:

As I said in another recent post, Our BWV add on was for 64 points. This is enough points for a fri and sat in a preferred studio at BWV. If I got a standard I'd only use 56 points. By using these points during the weekend, I can stretch my okw points getting a combined stay of 2 nights BWV studio and 7 nights OKW 1br during magic season. 9 nights, 10 days a nice trip.....granted, I need to move twice because I'm using the okw points during the week, but that's ok......spruce

Our add on at HH was based on the number of points needed to stay in a 2BR for 6 nights at Dream season every other year.
