Adding On 1 Night At 7 Month Window?

I just booked VB today for thanksgiving. I do not have enough VB points to book all the nights I need so I need to call at 7 months and add the 1 night I am missing.

Now, my reservation is currently for Nov 24 - 26. If I want the night of the 27th, do I have to wait until April 27th to call or can I call on April 24th since I am continuing a reservation?

It seems to me there was a post recently from someone who wanted to do that. Since the beginning was at the 7 month mark, I think eventually the person was able to do it, but the whole reservation may have been cancelled and then rebooked. Why don't you call and ask MS.

Best wishes...someday I would like to spend Thanksgiving at either HHI or VB, too!

Just recently I had a 5 night reservation at BLT (Aug. 14-19) and used all of my points. I wanted to use my SSR points to add the last night to this reservation. I tried calling at 7 months to my checkin date and was told I had to call 7 months from the day I wanted to add because I was using SSR points and they would not be available until the 7 month window openned which was the 19th of August. I guess it made sense after she told me that I had to have my window open in order to use those points, and that would not be until the actual day of the 19th of January. I originally tried calling on January 14th, but that was a no go unless I wanted to borrow BLT points to do it.

Thanks for the replies! I booked the last night on cash just in case. Will keep my fingers crossed I can get it on points at the 7 month window.

Bobbi - we did it last year and it was wonderful! It was busy but not like WDW. Hope you get to try it out one of these years.
