Adding "no expiration" to tickets

I have no idea where the best spot for this question would be, so please forgive me if this is not it!

I am trying to figure out the best price for tickets for my daughter and me. My husband can get a 7 day pass through work, so for both of us with taxes and fees it would $544.64. The Mousesavers/Undercover Tourist price would be $533.91. I have not yet checked AAA.

These prices are for one adult and one child 7-day park hopper. I would like to add a "no expiration" to each ticket, and am wondering what the fee is to do this AT Disney? Does it save anything to buy the ticket as a no expiration pass up front?

Any other ideas on places to look? The prices I listed above sound to me about as good as I can imagine they will be...

Over on the Theme Parks board, there is a sticky post all about tickets. The information there was written up by a DISer who works in one of the ticket offices. His screenname is Cheshire Figment. You might be able to find your answer there.

From what I've heard, the Mousesaver's deal is the best one out there. And I've also read that it is better to use at least one day on the ticket before upgrading it.

There is no advantage to getting the no-expiration part added up front. No matter how many days you use, it will still be based on 7 days. Don't forget that if you are planning on going more than once within a year, look into an AP. It's cheaper and you'll be eligible for AP rate on your room reservations.

Thanks both of you! I will go check out that sticky note... I do not plan going again within the year, just thinking ahead. (And if I already have tickets for my daughter and me it will be easier to convince my husband we HAVE to go back... heehee!)

If you are going to add the no expire option, you might want to also consider upgrading the tickets to 10 days. Although that makes the no expire option more expensive, it is more cost effective in the long run if those days will cover another trip in its entirety.

If you purchase the non-expiring tickets, make sure that you have enough days for your next trip as you can't add more days when you go for your next trip. All upgrades for the ticket need to be made by the 14th day after first use.

If you buy 7 day non-expiring tickets and use 4 days, then next trip you will only have 3 days left. If you want to go for more days then the price of another day or two will make it more expensive than if you just purchased what you needed for each trip.

If you decide to go for the non-expiring tickets, look into the cost of the WPAM as you will get the same # of WPAM options as days on your ticket.
