??? Adding night before arrival to guarantee a room for 9 AM check in

Due to early morning flights getting up at 2 am to get to airport for arrival in Disney about 8:30 am. I am considering extending our vacation by adding the day before so we would be guaranteed to have our room ready upon arrival. I'm not concerned about the few extra points that we would be using. The last few trips we were not in our room until after 4-5PM that is a very long day without a place to rest.
Has anyone done this?
Would there be a chance of them considering us a no show and canceling the rest of our trip?
Is there anything I would have to do to guarantee no issues.

We goofed one trip, and thought check-in day was a Saturday when in fact it was for Friday! (Still can't believe I did that...) When we arrived at the desk, there was some confusion (because obviously the check-in day was wrong!) but the CM finally found our room, and it was waiting for us.
I'd call MS and ask, just to be sure.

We have done this a couple of times for the same reason. Just make sure to call beforehand and have it noted that you will be arriving late - after midnight.

Yes, be sure to tell Member Services.

Just send MS an email via the member website to add the notation to your reservation. A problem may be if you want a specific room request, you won't be able to verify it prior to moving in.

I've done this with exchanges to DVC as well as getting a full week and only using a 3 night weekend several times. Just this morning I booked a 2 night reservation with another timeshare simply to get in late the second night of the reservation while traveling. It'll cost me about $30 TOTAL in effect for one night. I also have a 10 night reservation at an Orlando timeshare to use 1 night on the way down and 2 nights on the way back for a trip later in the summer. Total cost about $70 a night for the 3 nights we'll use it for a 2 BR. Had I booked it the 3 nights we needed as 2 reservations it would have been roughly the same cost but we'd have had to check in again and get out by 10 on the first leg.
