Adding names to a reservation

I called MS this morning to add my cousin and her husband on to our Hilton Head reservation for April. Before I have had them ask for the address of the people and if you didn't have it they said just call back with the address. Today they would not add the names without the address. My cousin lives in England and I did not know the address off the top of my head. I guess they are getting more strict about this.

Yes, this is a post 9/11 homeland security related requirement now. Times have changed...

Sometimes they ask, sometimes they don't. I added a friend last June and they did not ask for it. I doubt it's homeland security or they would be more careful. They would also ask for ID to prove it, you could give them any address. My bet is it's for marketing purposes.

I, too, doubt it's homeland security.

We do have my wife's BFF joining us in April, and we were asked her address when booking, but I;ve heard that it's really more for MARKETING purposes than anything else.
