We have our Sept 3-9 trip paid for with the free dining. My 19 yr old DD who is going to Beauty school has decided to postpone her graduation for 2 weeks to go with us. My Dh called and asked if we would be able to add her including the free dining They said no problem. My question is should i call and try to change our ADRs from 3 to 4 people or just wait till we go to the meals. Since i think it would be just as easy to seat 4 as 3. :confused3

Thanks.

Mindy

Ehhh the infamous catch 22.. :).. I dont think they have tables that only seat 3 :). They could if it was against a wall only 3 sides were available. To be safe, you should call and at least ask what would happen if you have a 4th. If they say you need to have 4 reserved, then, well, you can either make the ressies and hope that no one snatches them while you are remaking them, or just forget it, and show up with the 4th..

I do not envy folks that have this happen..

I called about that same thing. The CM on the phone looked up each of my ressies to check. All the ones I had could be moved up from 3 to 4 with the exception of O'hanas. I guess they have tables for only 3.

Good luck.

What? Are O'hanas smaller tables triangular instead of square.:rotfl:

I had considered adding a 5th person. I'm booked at POR for 3 adults and 1 child during free dining. I requested a trundle bed up front. I figured there was no way Disney would add people after the promotion ended. Maybe I'll rethink it now. Wonder if I could change my ADRs to 5 instead of 4. Any thoughts ????

going from 3 to 4 is usually simple, most places use a 4 top for 3 people. Going from 4 to 5 requires a 6 top, a whole different table size. Will be harder I believe. BUt the only way to find out is give 'em a call!

Good luck!

I called about adding 3 people to 4 on my ressie, a couple weeks ago(also during free dining), all of my ADR's were fine, the CM said the problem starts when going from 2 to 3, 4 to 5, etc... Hope everything works out!:goodvibes

thanks for all your input. :goodvibes i don't really think it would be such a big deal.. :thumbsup2 About Ohana's though We have a ressie there also what did the CM tell you. Wonder if We just showed up with four if they would still seat us:rolleyes1 :confused3

I just wanted to add that I had to go from 5 to 6 and that was a problem for three ADR's. I was surprised they have tables of 5. They can check the table when you call wdw-dine

Someone mentioned in a previous thread that another thing that must be considered is the maximum capacity allowed for fire codes, etc. -- so it could be that they actually have tables for five, or they might just be filled to capacity. I honestly don't know whether this is true or not, but it seems to make sense.
