Adding Maxpass to AP's/Customer service disappointment

Guest Services is circled in the pic below. The entrance to Disneyland is at top, entrance to California Adventure is at bottom, and the eight ticket booths are between the parks.

Nifty! Can they handle turning a Disney-store purchased AP card into a regular AP there as well, or is that a definite ticket-booth transaction? My oldest daughter didn't join us last trip and we need to activate her new AP and add MP to it.

Just want to verify I have my facts straight. We plan to get hoppers and go 1/2/18. We will purchase max pass for the first day at $10 pp. At the end of the 1st day (which is a deluxe black out day), we will upgrade to a deluxe ap and add the annual max pass.

That strategy is just fine. But just so you know, you can buy an AP on a blackout day, and they'll give you passes to get into the park on that day.

Thank you Geemo! I just called the number you listed and added the annual MaxPass to all 6 AP's. It was quick and easy, just not cheap. Ha! I'm so glad to have that done before we go so I don't have to mess with it when we get to the parks. I was a little nervous because they said that I wouldn't get an email receipt (just in case there were any problems), but I did get a transaction number. However, I don't think there is anything to worry about. When I logged into my account online, it lists all our passes as "Disney Deluxe Annual Passport with MaxPass". I'm getting excited!
