Adding Magical Express Confusion & Split Stay

I tried to search to find the answer to this and I think I have a grasp on part, but the Magical Express page on the DVC site is confusing me!

Two questions:

1. We have a split stay, so I have to put in two separate requests for arrival and departure with the two separate reservation numbers - correct?

2. After reservation number, etc. the DVC ME page says "Traveling Guest First Name, Traveling Guest Last Name". Do you have to put in individual requests for each member of your party? I've never done this before and the traveling guest part is throwing me.

2. Yes - you put in each name. I have done this online for years and have always had to add this info although if you call MS they generally just do it for you.

I did a split stay last year. I booked the arrival part at VGF and my friend booked the second part at WL. I did the DME for my part. Instead of having my friend put the departure on hers, I just made the reservation at the WL front desk the day we checked in. Less confusion because I was leaving the day before her.

2- You don't need separate requests for each guest, but you do want to make sure everyone's name is put into each reservation that they'll be travelling on. The first page can be non-intuitive because it only asks for a single traveler's name. Pick one, put it in. When you continue to the second page it will ask you how many guests and you can put all names in.

I am new to DVC, but I've been to WDW several times and used magical express. I think we were to go the kiosk when we arrived at mco airport with our vacation documentation, check in, and then board the buses. I'm not sure that we signed up ahead of time. Can you just sign up at the airport or at the resort after you arrive?

You're supposed to do it ahead of time, per the agreement Disney has with the airport. Reports are that if you don't, you can in fact take your resort documents to the DME desk and still get on there. But I always would reserve ahead of time.

The form on the member website is pretty straightforward. As long as you do it at least a month ahead, they will get the luggage tags to you so you don't need to go pick up your checked bags.

This is exactly what confused me. I was afraid to click through since you could only put one person's name in! Thanks for the details and help.
