Adding funds to Disney gift cards like this?

I am assuming that there really is no safe way to add funds to cards you purchase on eBay or such, right? I am not talking about the Disney Gift Card site but in regards with whom I purchased it from? If you added funds to one like this, could the original owner see that at some point and deplete the amount? Or, am I completely wrong here?

I'd be fearful I'd get a gift card with the number defaced or shaved off. You couldn't put your own funds onto it in that case.

If the original owner recorded the number, they might be able to transfer your added funds to another gift card they have. I'm not sure that's possible but simply wouldn't trust buying from an individual rather than a retail source like Target or from Disney.

Unless you're wanting that particular design, there is a 100th design available from ShopDisney. No worries there about shady business.

Ya, that's what I was thinking about, but wasn't sure. No big deal, just thought I would ask.

I believe that card is cardboard not plastic so I would avoid it anyway as I don’t think it’ll be very durable long term. If you want a 100 gift card to reload there’s one at Shop Disney that is plastic.
