How do you connect to friends/family in MDE if they are not staying on-site? On the website it only gives the option to look them up with their Disney resort reservation #. And the app doesn't seem to have any option to add people.. My sister and BIL are staying offsite but visiting when we are (we're at SSR). Wasnt there a way to enter their email address and they would be sent an invite to accept my connection? They do have a MDE account.

Also, my current F&F list has a friend we went with in 2014 still on it and it won't let me remove him. It says he has active plans or admissions so I can't remove him. He does NOT have active plans. God help me if I have to call freaking IT.

Disney now has something called a linking code which uses QR technology to quickly link someone to your F&F list. See this article on how to do it:

All right. I figured out how to add my sister but i cannot see her husband or son. She accepted my invite (after I figured out how to send one). She manages the 1 account for all 3.

You have to connect them through her. Click on Add a Guest, then Find through my connected guests. Essentially, you'll send her another email asking her to give you permission to connect them. You'll have to do this for each person individually.

OMG thank you!!!!!!! Found everyone!

Now I just have to figure out getting into my Dad's MDE. He apparently set it up 7 years ago with an email he no longer uses.

Does he have tickets in there? If not, just make him a new account, or add him to yours. I have an old MDE account, but I never use it. My daughter has her own MDE account so we just use that one for trips. It's not connected to my old one at all.

It's ok. I was able (with great...GREAT effort LOL!) to log into his account with his old email and reset the account with the new email. Thank God I remembered his old password! And my mom was still getting emails from the old address on her phone so she was able to get the reset code when they emailed it.

Then I just spend the last 45 minutes getting him and my Mom linked in my Friends & Family list, and also to my sister's MDE (who is also going). Everyone is all linked now. Just have to get them purchased tix and assigned to the right person in his account and park ressies.

They are staying at the Dolphin. Can they put that reservation number into their MDE? I assume they need it attached so they can get early morning magic and extra magic hours as well as early G+/iLL$ access?

Did they book through Disney or through Marriott? If through Disney, they should be able to enter that confirmation number into MDE to link it. If through Marriott, they may or may not need to call for the Disney number - ask on the Swan/Dolphin thread on the Disney Resorts board!

I did a post over there and was told they can add the resort reservation # and it may take a few days for it to load into the system. It was booked through MArriott. My sister is a Bonvoy member so she booked both rooms. I told her she might have to call or whatever to add all the names (hers and her DH to one room and my parents to the other so MDE will recognize everything).

Booking a vacation shouldn;t be so complicated. :rotfl2:
