Adding extra day to MYW tickets

I read on allearsnet that you can add an 8th day to a 7 day ticket for a few dollars, but only while you're at WDW. Has anybody done this yet? We will be there for 9 nights and have a 7 day ticket. It depends on the temperment of our 2 and 5 yo DDs, but we think we'd like to add an 8th day just to spend a few hours playing at Epcot in innoventions and Imagination.

When I made my reservation they told me that upon checkin just to add the extra day. Some of the people in my package wanted 5 day and we want 6 days, so we did the package as 5 day and will add the extra day when we arrive. Its something like 3-4$ for all 4 of us.
