Adding Even More Magic to FastPass+

A few weeks ago we shared the latest plans for MyMagic+, and gave a look at more changes to come. We saw great response and interest in the news. Many of you expressed excitement about the evolution of FastPass+ and the fact that we were working on ways to provide our guests with the ability add more FastPass+ entitlements in addition to the three they can plan in advance and a feature that enabled the ability to make those additional selections while park hopping.

And we are pleased to let you know that as of next week our guests will be able to do just that.

So starting Monday, after guests have used their first three FastPass+ selections, they will be able to select another one at one of the kiosks located in each of our WDW parks. When they’ve used that one, they’ll be able to select another, and so on, ultimately providing guests with even more ways to customize their Walt Disney World Vacation. Guests will also be able to select and use their additional FastPass+ entitlements when they hop from park to park.

As we’ve said from the beginning, MyMagic+ will continue to evolve over time with the aim of continuing to improve our guests’ experience with us and in response to feedback from our guests. ABOUT TIME! Hopefully we will be able to add our additional FP+ after the initial 3 from our phone/tablet through MDE, not just a kiosk. Those lines are already long :/

I'm also wondering what this means for FP+ like Illuminations or Wishes. How can we use up the first 3 FP+ when the Nighttime Spectaculars aren't redeemed until the end of the night?

So next week when we go (May 3rd) when I use my 3 FP in the morning, I can go to the kiosk and get another one, use it and then go get another 1?

Can you do it for the same ride 2 x's in one day?

The traditional Fast Passes sold out quite quickly early in the day. Often times over many trips, Toy Story Mania, Soarin', Test Track, Rock N Roller, Space Mtn were sold out by 11 am or noon (and at times even earlier). So after the first 3 FP options are used, it can be well after noon if you get morning FP's. Wonder what will be left of the big attraction rides? And also, 50% of the time, we only used 1 or 2 of our 3 FP options because the app chose them for us. FP+ chose attractions we had no interest in experiencing so we skipped them.

We had such trouble with FP+ the first week of April. I cringe when I think about using it again. I do feel the hopping option was necessary for sure. If we skip FP options we're not interested in, does it still count as using them up? I know we would have to wait past the time allotted by the FP, but we often skip the ones we get automatically grouped with.

That is fantastic news. Now for the schedule change for our trip in 13 days. First we hear about a delayed rehab that helps us and now the bonus good news on FP+.
As soon as the 7DMT Shows up on FP+ It will be the trifecta of good vibes for our trip.

As part of the test-and-adjust process for MyMagic+, enhancements to Disney FastPass+ service are expected to be made available to Guests beginning Monday, April 28, allowing them to make additional FastPass+ selections after they use their initial (up to three) FastPass+ selections.

All Walt Disney World Guests will be able to make an additional FastPass+ selection at an in-park kiosk after they have redeemed their original selections or after the arrival windows for all unredeemed selections have passed.

Guests will be able to make one additional selection at a time, based on availability. After they redeem that additional selection (or the arrival window passes), they can go to a FastPass+ kiosk to make another selection, and so on. (The additional FastPass+ selections must be made at a kiosk only.)

Guests will be able to make their additional selection(s) for an experience at which they already redeemed a FastPass+ selection earlier that day.

Guests with valid park-hopping privileges will be able to make their additional selection(s) at another park. Those selections must be made at a kiosk in the park where the desired experience is located.

At Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Guests will be able to make additional selections from any available experience in either experience group.

Yes, thank you. It was hard to get some of the big-draw attractions though---especially on the phone app. We were able to get 2 out of 3 of our choices a good amount of time on the laptop in the room. But the droid and iPhone apps were really glitzchy. Hopefully they make improvements to the apps.

I have my whole party on my MDE. Can I go over to the park we are going to hop to during nap time (early afternoon) and add fp+ for everyone or would they need to have used their band at the second park and actually be there with me to make the night fp+? I know this was an issue with regular tickets in the past.

Luckily I still have about 7 weeks before I have to decide on FP booking.

I am wondering what FPs will be available for booking after the 1st three are used.

I await reports on availability. It may now be worth it to book early fast passes for popular rides and then grab fast passes for less popular rides later in the day.

In DHS I have been able to get FPs for ToT and RnR well into the afternoon. If these are still available as additional choices that will make touring this park much easier. The same with Epcot. At the time of year we go TT fastpasses have also been available into the afternoon. If that is still the case I would book Soarin ahead of time, get the other 2 FP for as early as possible and then book TT for later.

LOL - in November when we were "testing" FP+, we had to wait in line 15 minutes just to get in to the FastPass queue for BTM. It was quite ridiculous...

To follow-up with a more serious question - this can ONLY be done at a kiosk and not via your phone or computer? Say you do your 3 FP+ by 2 pm, head to your room for afternoon pool time and head over to MK for the evening - can you book a 4th FP+ in your room? on your phone?

Another question - If I "control" my family's selections of FP+'s, do we all have to wait in line for a kiosk, or can I just be the one to use the kiosk and reserve that 4th FP+ for all of us?

BET by December, that the 4th,5th, or 6th Fastpass can be booked from a Smartphone!

Nope, you would have to book it from one of the kiosk located within the park. Now I guess you could use all three, book the fourth one at a kiosk before you leave, and then come back later possibly. Park hopping also means you must use your first three and then must book the other three at the park you are going to next.
