Adding Dining to Room Only AP Rate

How late can you make an AP room only reservation into a "ticketless" package? We are planning a short trip in August and we're still trying to decide whether to add dining (and which plan to add). And as long as you're within the allowed timeframe, is it as simple as calling and adding dining? I know we would have to pay in full before arrival, unlike the room only res, but I just wanted to know when I would have to make a decision by.

I just changed my room only rate to AP rate last night and added the DDP for my July 27th reservation! It was very easy to do!

Sorry to hijack, but I also have a question relating to this. When you add the dining plan to an AP room only reservation, do they have to cancel your current room only reservation (including refunding your deposit) and rebook as a package? Or can they just convert the room-only and collect the additional money for the package on top of the deposit already paid?

Yes! Had to cancel room only and re-book Ap pkg!
