Adding dining to package

I will be spending 9 days at Disney in September. I was thinking of adding dining to my package. I have two kids 12 & 10 who eat from children's menus. I don't want to spend $35 a day for them. The $10 a day for kids would be great but it is supposed to be for kids 9 and under. Can I still get it for my kids even though they are older since they only order from kid's menus? Can I add the dining feature at the last minute when I check into the hotel or do I have to do it in advance?

I don't know about adding it at checkin, but if your kids are 12 & 10, they won't qualify for the kids' dining package, they'll have to be counted as adults.

Sorry!

If you are going to be there for nine days and you have not gotten your tickets, it might be worthwhile to get one AP and then the $50 additional for DDE and get a 20% discount on almost all table service and buffet restaurants including character meals for both food and beverage (and the related tax).

Get room only, one AP and two 10 day hoppers. You may even be able to get an AP discount on the room instead of rack rate (which they charge with a package).
