I booked a discounted room for Oct. and we want to add dining and tickets. We decided to do the DXDDP.
Is this allowed? It appears that there are no more discounted rooms left so I am concerned they will need to cancel my ressie but then there would be no discount to get.

If you booked room only you will have to have that cancelled and refunded and book a package to include tickets and DDP.

What if that room is no longer available? Can they switch it to package and keep discount?

No I don't think so, only if there was still a room with discount available. You can still buy tickets separately and add them to MDE, but no dining because you can only have it as part of a package.

Yes, but you will need to speak to someone in guest services. CRO doesn't have the ability to change reservation types and keep a discount if the room is no longer available under that discount or the promo has expired, but guest services can do it without you losing the discount. Since RO and packages are different reservation systems, money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other, which is why you need to cancel/rebook. Keep in mind that if you are 30 days or less from arrival, the new package reservation will need to be paid in full at the time of the change and you will have to wait for a refund on the RO reservation. Good luck.
