Adding days to tickets purchased- can you make fastpasses?

We have decided to extend our trip two extra days... some memers of our party purchased 7 day tickets (now they will need 9 day). What do we do now since tgere is one day at the front of the trip and 1 day at the back ? We have fastpasses for the 7 days already bit what happens going to the park on day 1 (no fastpasses)? Once tgey add tge days do tgey immediately get extra day of fp?
Can we get them or No? By the way we are only 3 days out so no need or expectation to get headliners, just hoping for whatever, if possible.

They can add FP once they upgrade their tickets.

Or, pick a day where you don't have any super hard-to-get FP, and cancel those to make them for Day 1. Then you can add FP back that day and the last day after you upgrade. Like I wouldn't cancel an FoP FP, but Space Mountain or even Test Track you can work with.

If you purchased your tickets from Disney, whether online or when you booked your trip, you can call and they can add on the additional entitlements.

As soon as the entitlements are added, you can book FPs for the added park days.

Disney Springs is perfect! Tickets don’t need to be used prior to upgrading.
