We had planned to drive to Dsiney World when we made our reservations, but now we will be flying and we will be arriving a day earlier and leaving a day later than originally planned.

I got a good rate on our room by using a code when I made our reservation. The code has since expired. I am afraid if I try to add days on to our reservation that I will lose the good rate I got by using the code.

Does anyone know if you call and add days to your reservation do they cancel your old reservation and give you a new one? Also, can you get the same rate on the days you add as on the days that you already had?

You should just call and talk to someone. I had a somewhat similar problem (had to change dates COMPLETELY due to work issues after the winter code expired), and my TA was able to talk Disney into it. It can't hurt to ask, in my opinion, although maybe others have more experience.

We added a night to our stay after we arrived last year. They gave us the code rate. This year I added a day after the code expired and they gave us the code rate. They mailed a new confirmation letter, but used the same conf. number. I don't think you should have any problems. Just give them a call.

We extended our stay during Hurricane Jeanne in September & we were given the same discounted rate for our extra night. I would definitely call & talk to someone - it seems like it's something they would accomodate. Good luck! :)

I had this same situation. I had reserved sat to sat with the BDP code, but our plans changed and I had to change our dates to fri to fri. I could not get the extra day with the code because it had expired. I had to make a one night reservation at rack rate for the extra day. (I was later able to get the night at the AP rate), but I am still afraid we may have to change rooms when we get there after the 1 night. we will see...

Just call. They won't raise the nights you've already reserved. If you don't like the rates they quote for the extra days just stay in a different resort. If you're flight gets in late you might use PL for a hotel near the airport.

I just added extra night onto our trip (at the start of our stay) at the same resort, and could not get AP code-rate on any night anywhere. They are sold out during that stay, at all resorts, as are AAA rates so I had to book the first 2 nights (the ones I added on) at rack rate, while the last 3 nights (my original ressie) are AP rate. Kind of a bummer, and I call nearly every day to see if any AP discounts have opened up, but the CMs are across the board pretty put-out by my questioning, and have so far said "No" for 2 wks straight.
