Adding days to complimentary tickets

We have decided we are going to go back down in July. Our plan is to get 7 or 8 day tickets. However, we have five 1 Day Park Hopper tickets from a raffle fundraiser at our kids' school. According to the paperwork with them, they were provided as complimentary tickets through Points of Light and Disney. It says they cannot be upgraded. I don't know if that means that we can't just add days to them and use them as our tickets for the trip. I'm assuming so. I didn't know if anyone had any experience with a situation like this. If no days can be added to these tickets, I guess we use them for one day of our trip, and then separately purchase tickets for the rest of the days we want to go. Thanks for any information.

Which means, you'll do better to buy all the days you want on your new tickets, and save those 1 day tickets for when you only actually need 1 day or 2 days. Assuming there is no expiration on them coming up any time soon.

Ideally, that's what we would do. However, these tickets were from 2019, and originally had to be used within 2 years. We were told that would be extended due to the Covid closure, but I was told only extended until September 2021. Coming from Illinois, we wouldn't be able to use them on a separate trip before then. It might be cheaper to have one person use all the 1 day tickets and just buy a 2 day ticket to make up the difference . At least you save some that way.

Complimentary tickets cannot be upgraded, which includes no adding days. If you must use them now, your best option is probably as PP suggested - have 1 person use all the free tickets and buy a 2 or 3 day ticket to make the difference, and buy full 7-8 day tickets for everyone else.
