Adding day to existing reservation at 7 month window

We cancelled our June 2020 trip at AKL and rebooked at our home resort BLT for December 20, 2020. We didn't have quite enough points to book through 12/26 like we wanted, so I booked 12/20-12/25. We have 19 one time use points from the cancelled trip, but we can't use them until the 7 month window.

So, my question is, can I call and modify the reservation on May 20 (7 months from when the reservation starts), or do I have to wait until May 25 (7 months from the day I want to book)? I know that I will have to call, regardless, as I can't use one time use points online. (Or rather DH would have to call on May 20, as I will be at work.) Yes, this is assuming that 12/25 will be available, but because it is Christmas and therefore pricey, I figure I have a chance. TIA!

From my understanding, you can call on the 20th and they will allow you to extend,

I know it works that way online.

Just an update that DH was able to call today, 7 months from the first day of our reservation, and add the additional night with our one time use points. Thank you!
