Adding Celebration details to reservations

My bil and gf are going out to wdw on our points in November staying at OKW. It is her birthday and their last vacation before their baby arrives

I have added the celebration details to the reservation but I wondered does this mean that Disney will actually do anything for them e.g. put a card in the room or maybe a balloon or something?

I am hoping that they will get a nice surprise

We are at BCV now. It is our 25 anniversay and I indicated that during online check in. We each received a Happy Anniversary button in our packet upon arrival!

Some have reported getting a button and a welcome. Others have reported that they received nothing. I guess it depends on the Cast Member.

Generally just buttons if you are DVC staying on points.... our last trip we celebrated numerous things with our group of 7... we stayed at 3 resorts -- SSR and BLT didn't do much but MAN OH MAN! The woman at AKV Kidani went crazy with buttons... to the point we finished our check in stuff and had to stand around and wait for her even though our check in was a bit complicated and delayed by a wonderful manager allowing my niece to upgrade the meal plan to adult since she was so sick of the kids menus being a fan herself of salads and variety other than burger and chicken nuggets. (the woman checking us in and the one doing the buttons were different since the check in wasn't that busy.)

Thanks everyone I'll just keep my fingers crossed that someone wishes her a happy birthdya and maybe gives her a button or two! It also won't be hard to miss that they are proud parents to be

We just got back from celebrating my DH's 40th birthday and our 11th anniversary. (I noted both on our ressies.) We received birthday and anniversary pins at check-in. One night when we came in, there was also set of towel doves, a signed card, and a 20% off photopass card.
