Adding blackout day to AP

Hi: We are heading down with our APs but Saturday is blocked. # of the 4 of us have GAD but I will need to purchase the add-on for my little one - I think I heard it is like $45 or something? Would I just do that at the regular ticket booths when I redeem the GAD?

Blockout tix are $45, yes.

Not sure where to get it, but if you're going to a normal ticket booth, I do believe that's where you get the blockout tickets.


If there's any chance you might need to go during another blocked out period, you might consider using the GAD voucher towards an upgrade of your APs. Obviously the one-day one-park value isn't going to take you from Deluxe (since you're in SF I know you can't have a so cal AP) to Premium, but if your future plans will involve more blockout tickets, it's worth considering!

Just FYI, you cannot use the GAD ticket towards the price of a blackout ticket. I just got off the phone with a DL CM with this very question. Your only options are to use the GAD ticket as a 1 day/1 park ticket or use that $72 to upgrade to the next AP.

You can also get the blockout passes at Guest Services, which is outside of DLR's entry gates to the left. The line there is often shorter than at the ticket booths.

Yes, I am planning to use the GAD as 1 day/1 park - just my littlest wasn't old enough for the GAD so we have to buy him a blackout.

I would use to get a new AP, but I think we aren't renewing next year. Bought a house so have to stop vacationing for a bit!

When we got our black out passes (only once so we didn't upgrade from Deluxe to Premiums) we got them at the ticket booths.
