My daughter and I wanted to add one more night to our reservation at Pop. Because the spring rate is no longer available, we were required to book another night and now have two reservation numbers. Our new reservation has us in a preferred room, this was all they had available, and our first three nights are in a standard room. Any advice on how we can approach this situation so we do NOT have to check out, and check back in, and move our luggage? I cannot find anyone willing to help me since we went thru a travel agent. Wouldn't it be easier to get this resolved before we arrive on Tuesday? We would rather stay in our standard room all 4 nights even though we have paid for a preferred room on or last night. Should I fax a request? Help please!

I hope your travel agent will help! They should help you get them connected. You could say something at check in if you haven't been able to get it sorted out before that time.

Call and have a request added to your reservations that you they are linked and you would want to stay in the same room for the entire stay. If they will not help you, have your travel agent make the request. Then at check-in, go to the front desk and ask them if they could please see what they could do to keep you in the same room. Then on the morning of your second reservation, go down and check to see if you are in the same room. Since you have 2 separate reservations, they probably cannot make any guarantee before then.

Since you went through a TA, the TA is the one who has to make any requests as they "own" the reservations until you check in so Disney will not talk to you about them, even to just add requests. With that said, reservations are linked when the same room type is booked, so with having 2 different room categories, I'm not sure how those can be linked to stay in the same room. I'd contact your TA and see if there's anything he/she can do; if not, I'd ask at check in if there's anything that can be done. Good luck.

Tell the travel agent that you want the reservations linked (this will not guarantee the same room). The rest of it you will need to deal with when you arrive (telling the desk that you want to stay in the same room even though you had to book a higher category on the second reservation.) I doubt you'll be refunded the difference for the preferred under those circumstances. You'd need to check out and check back in, but they will let you know whether or not you can keep the same room.
