Okay guys, I need your help. I booked Pop w/free dining for Sept. 8-15. I have just found out that we can actually leave a day early:woohoo: I have tried unsuccessfully to add the extra night to my existing ressie, so I've decided to book a room only for the first night since we don't plan on going to a park anyhow.

If I book Pop, do you think that we will be able to keep the same room or will we have to change rooms when we check in with the package on Saturday? Or should I take advantage of the current discounts and book a mod or deluxe for the first night? I can get WL for $158 and have always wanted to stay there, but having never stayed at a value before I'm afraid I won't like Pop as well after spending a night at WL:confused3 My other thought is to book POFQ - I have stayed there before and really like it - for $118.

I am looking forward to your opinions!

I think it depends what time you are planning to arrive. If you really have sufficient time to relaxe, then WL might be the one. If time is limited, POFQ.

On the other hand, if you want to visit DTD on your arrival day, then POFQ is perfect because of the boat ride there. The grounds at POFQ/POR are also very beautiful for walking and there is a horse and carriage ride there (and bike rentals).

Good luck making your choice.

I will be driving down with my 10 year old DN and hope to get in around 4PM unless traffic is bad. My best friend will be flying and won't even get to MCO until 10:30PM, so our plan is to hang out at the resort, swim and maybe head to DTD for dinner while we are waiting for her.

Keep POP... you wont miss what you dont have.... Not saying that POP isnt great because it is... but save your money... dont do a park, just enjoy the resort and what it has to offer, you can go to DTD... you can visit another hotel for dining or something like that... but I would stay at POP...
Now if at POP and they want to move you and you like your room, you can really fight for it or on the other hand, you might just like a new room (depending on neighbors/ room location) :confused3 :wizard:
