Hi, this is my first trip to DW. I booked a Magic Your Way package with 5 days park hopper. Even though we will be there 6 days and 7 nights. I wanted to go to Universal for a day but with the Canadian dollar as it is, it was way too much money for it.

I was wonder if I could add an extra day to Disney and how much would it cost?

It would be for 2 people. Not sure if this was the right board to post this in. Thank you in advance.

If you are more than 45 days from check-in, you could add a day to your tickets now. Within 45 days of arrival, there's a fee to modify your resort reservation, in addition to the ticket cost. Or you could wait to arrive at WDW and upgrade your tickets then. After Day 4 of MYW tickets, the cost to add one day is $10 plus .65 tax for each additional day, up to a max of 10 park days. So, in your case, $21.30 for 2 tickets. Note: If you booked your package before the Feb 22, 2015 ticket price increase, and you upgraded your tickets, you would also owe for the increase, since your tickets were priced lower when you booked.

Here's Disney's website page for WDW ticket prices: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets/

Thank you for your answer. I am after my 45 days. I have 18 days left. I will definitely wait until I am there to add a day. $21.30 even with the exchange rate is way better than the $500 it was going to cost me for Universal for a day. Again that is for two tickets.

Just be sure you use the tickets first. And if you're quoted a different price, politely decline and try again later.

You only need to use the ticket first if the price you originally paid for the ticket is less than the current gate price. For instance, if you purchased it from UT or bought it from Disney prior to a price increase. Otherwise, there is no need to "bridge" the ticket to the current value by using it first. The OP has a package. Her ticket will be at the current gate price when she receives it unless the package was booked prior to Feb. 2015

The package was only brought in July. I thank everyone for their answers. I am a parnoid person by nature and when plans change I freak out like crazy. I won't relax until I am on the plane and then freak out again until I am on the Magical Express.

Package tickets are discounted internally at Disney and need to be bridged the same as any third party reseller tickets. Only tickets bought directly from Disney that are not part of a package can't be bridged. You'll get the value you paid for them no matter when you upgrade those. If you purchased directly from Disney before a price increase, you'll only get the price you paid. Package tickets are different and do need to be used once before the price will be bridged.

Also, we have great luck adding days to our tickets at the correct price at our resort. Just a thought.

If your tickets were not part of a package, this will happen at all resorts and you need to upgrade them at guest relations instead. Part of a package, then your resort will see the correct price.

We do this on purpose because sometimes plans change and you don't need them or only 1 person needs to do it. We add on tickets as needed since it's only a few minutes at the resort desk or guest relations before you go into the park if that's more convenient.

Fast pass kinds of messes this up to get good ones lately, but in your situation since your getting them there, no need to get them right away.

Thank you for your replies. Since I got to pick up my magic bands there. I might as well go about adding my extra day. It makes sense about doing this because plans do change the reason behind mine.

14 days now I am just becoming more parnoid. The price difference helped with my budgeting. I just need the Canadian dollar to be better now.
