Adding AAA to current ressie?

I was under the asumption that you could book in advance and then add the AAA code at a later date. We booked our WL room in May for December but did not have the AAA membership at that time. We did purchase it in June and even have our "hard plastic" cards now. I called to ask them to add the AAA discount and they said that it couldn't be done. Is that correct? That is the main reason we got the membership renewed. Thank you!!

You might try a couple things:

1. Call again and talk to a different CM. It can make a difference sometime.

2. If there are still rooms available, book a new trip using the AAA code and once that is locked in, cancel the other trip.

3. The more risky choice - Have the CM cancel your current reservation and then immediately start a new reservation before the room you just freed up gets taken. Personally, I don't think I'd take this risk without having other options ready (like settling for another resort).

OK, so that's three things. I'm sure other have more options.

Talk to a different CM - as long as the AAA rate is available for the room/hotel/dates you want, they can apply the discount to existing reservations. I just did it this week for a November trip.
