So the DW and I are going to WDW with DD and her fiancé. We are using my points but want to have separate credit cards associated with Magic Bands. DW and mine together and DD/fiancé together. I know this can be handled at the check in at OKW but can it be handled by CMs at a park? We are arriving early and know rooms won't be available, completed online check-in and, as their flight gets in a bit later, plan to pick up DD/fiancé at MCO then to MK direct.

Possible to associate CC there?

No, it has to be done at your resort.

But even if you do it at your resort, it can be very unreliable, so much so that I wouldn't bother. We've tried it in the past and it fails every time, either by every transaction continuing to hit the primary guest or by SOME transactions continuing to hit the primary guest.

I would recommend that DD and fiance just carry an actual credit card or gift card and pay that way rather than MBs.

I agree that it is very unreliable. We’ve tried doing this several time and it has never worked. Then I get to spend time on my vacation trying to straighten it out. And then it still doesn’t work.

We did it a few years back and it took 2 months AFTER we got home to finally straighten out the mess. I would not recommend it.

This has been my experience as well. I registered my credit card at the resort's front desk but all the charges went to my sister's credit card instead--she was the primary on the reservation. I just use my credit card now. Not that big a deal.

My daughter had her magic band tied to her card with no issues. Maybe some cast members don't really know how to set it up right. 🤷‍♀️

I agree that that’s probably the problem but there’s no way to know they didn’t do it right until you try to use it. I’ve even gone back to the desk after trying it out, checking to see if it is working correctly, finding that it is not working correctly, having it fixed, and it still doesn’t work. I won’t do it anymore.
