Adding a person to dining reservations

Last month I got up early for several days in a row to make dining reservations for my early June trip with my sister. Now my miece has decided to join us. All my reservations are for two people. I was able to change the reservation at Carthay Circle to three people. Any advice about my other reservations? I suppose there's a chance that they might be able to seat us if we just showed up for the reservation for 2. I would assume that this wouldn't be an issue if we were going from 3 people to 4, but 2 to 3 seems like a problem.

I think, for the most part, they will let you add a person day of. It might cause a longer wait than normal after checking in.

Anecdotally, I’ve never been charged for failing to cancel a reservation. The only downside to showing up and then saying no would be if you were also charged for walking away from a reservation day of.
