Adding a person onto a package?

We may have someone else going with us to WDW in November but he won't know until closer to the date. Our room is full with 2 adults/2children, though. The grandparents are also going and have offered their room for one of the kids to stay in with them. We got the FD package with 2 day park hoppers. The grandparents got 3 night hotel with 1 Day ticket to EPCOT. They already have a NE Park hopping ticket remaining from a previous trip, so they only needed one day and didn't figure the dining plan was worth what they'd pay extra (totally agree). Hopefully I've explained that so you can understand the situation! LOL

Questions are:
1. Can a person be added onto their package (not free dining)?
2. If so, can ONLY their ticket be upgraded to a 2 day base ticket (no need for hopping)?
3. If we are all dining together, can we use our meal credits and share with them or is there a limit of 4 meal credits being used at one time since there's 4 of us on meal plan?

Thanks!

1. Yes, the additional person can be added to their room.
2. The person will have to upgrade their ticket after arrival.
3. No

So regarding the meal plan. If we share meals, and still only use 4 meal credits, do they allow us sharing our meals with others NOT on the meal plan?

No, the rules of the plan specifically state that you cannot do this.

You can share meals with them as QS locations, I share with my daugher and Mother (different room), If I only want to eat half of my burger (1 QS credit) and pay for a side salad they are not going to bust you for giving your family member your half burger.

I am not posting around DIS regulations. I am just saying that if you only eat half your food and "throw it away" they don't get upset with you.

Thanks! That's kind of what I was wondering - same exact situation! My daughter is 10 but she's small and eats like a bird. My mother and I personally don't like eating big meals while we're walking around, that's kind of what I was thinking. I just don't see the point in throwing away so much food just because it's "free".
