Adding a night at ASMu in Sept

I have reservations Sept 21-28, and was hoping to add a night onto the beginning (Sept 20). I called, and they said there was no availability at all at ASMu. I asked if it was just under the free dining that there were no rooms left, because I'd be fine with just taking a night, with no free dining for that night, and he said no, there was nothing at all.

I checked online, though, and I can get one night at ASMu no problem. Standard room like I have and everything.

I want to call back & ask why, but thought I'd check here first and see if there's something I'm missing, that I don't know about why they can't add a night. Anyone?

I had the same experience with POP. Called and they said they had nothing but "premier" rooms. Looked on the website and they had plenty of the regular ones. I booked online.

My suggestion is to keep calling until you get a CM that gives you the answer you want. It's worked for a lot of folks. For some reason, you don't seem to be able to get the same answer twice from anyone.

I'll echo PP, keep calling. A CM told me especially to call 7:00 EST on Mondays as that's when the group and Magical Gatherings cancellations would go through, frequently opening up rooms especially in values and moderates.

It is really funny that sometimes we (Disers) know more than the CMs. I called the other day for reservations and asked the CM about her experience with free dining last year and she said they didn't have free dining last year and this was the very first one . So I would also suggest keep calling until you get one that knows what they are talking about.

Try again. I always call back if I don't get the answer I need. The CMs always seem better during the week.
