Adding a day to your package?

Does anyone know if I can add a day to our package several days into our stay? We also have the free dining plan would I be able to add that day free also? Just wondering in case we get down there and don't want to come home....leaving Monday

If it is a busy time of year you might have a hard time. They assign rooms based on length of stay so you might have to move rooms. I would ask when you check in what the chances are of staying an extra day.

I doubt they will let you extend the free dining as there were a limited amount of those packages available. Try by all means though, you never know.

we stayed at the wl during free dining. we decided to stay an extra night. They would not let us extend the free dining portion of the package. So we just booked the room at AAA rate. They let us stay in our same room. We had 3 ts, and i cs left over( and lots of snacks... ithink 6) and we were able to use them the next day, since they do not expire until midnight of checkout day.

Sarah's answer is correct. First you cannot "extend" a package at a resort. Packages, including dining, are only sold by Disney Reservation Center. A resort cannot sell them. And Dining packages (paid, not free) must be set up at least two days prior to arrival of the guest at the resort.

So if you are at WDW on a package and decide to stay longer, the resort can make you a new reservation for one extra night. But it is not part of the package. Like Sarah said, the Dining portion of a package is good until midnight of the day you check out (last day of package). So you can use any left over components on the day of the new reservation.
