My BF and I are going to DL for our first and potentially only trip in February. Since we are flying from the East Coast, in the winter, through Chicago, our initial plan was that we'd take our roughly 1/3 of a day on arrival day, do Downtown Disney and just relax. However-dependent upon arrival time, level of exhaustion etc-we are now tossing around the idea of upgrading our 3 day hoppers to 4 day hoppers at the ticket booth on arrival day Is this possible? I've upgraded tickets before at WDW, but I'm not sure if DL works the same way.

Thanks,
Ress

Yes, you can upgrade your tickets at DLR. You have to complete the upgrade before the ticket expires (so either before the end of the third-day of use or 13-days after first use, whichever comes first in your case). You can do the upgrade at the ticket windows or Guest Services outside of the parks.

One big caveat is that DLR does not consistently bridge ticket prices/values like WDW does. They do bridge some tickets, but it's much harder to figure out which ones, so it's best to assume you'll only get the price you paid for the ticket credited towards the upgrade.
