Adding a day to my tickets before arriving at WDW

I was a dummy and ordered a 4 day ticket for my vacation when I actually needed a 5 day ticket. Already received the tickets and have them linked to MDE. Is there any way to upgrade these tickets prior to arriving in the world? I would like to make FP+ reservations ahead of time for the extra day.

If you prepaid for the tickets and they are on your MDE page, you can call and change them. I changed my 6 day tickets to 7 day tickets and they just charged the difference to my credits card and made the changes while I was still on the phone. Very easy.

Like a PP, I called on the phone and asked to add a day to the tickets and they just charged the card on file.

Where did you order them from?

I did the same thing. I realized what I did right away. I called back the second I got of the phone but was told I can only upgrade at guest relations at any park upon my arrival which happens to be 180 days away. I ordered off the disney web sight.

I just called and added a day to my tickets. It was not a hassle at all. I would call back till you find a more knowledgeable CM.

If the tickets are part of a WDW Resort Pkg. they can be modified.

If they are stand-alone tickets, it's less likely that you'll find a CM to do that over the phone.

You should also be able to add tickets on their website. If you mouse over to where it says cart it will show you where you can add tickets.

. I was told this 6 times now. Yes, I have called several times to see what my answer would be. If you bought the tickets separately and not with a package, you have to do it in person. I was told that every time.

You can only purchase new tickets it doesn't allow you to add a day to existing tickets.

Oh well then maybe that is why. I am renting DVC pints so I did purchase my tickets separately and not as a package.

I bought 6 days of tickets knowing I most likely would want 7. However, it never occurred to me that I would not be able to make fp+ reservations for all 7 days unless I bought 6 days of tickets. So, now I am stuck with no fp+ reservations on our last day of vacation, with no way to remedy the situation until we get there in June? (My tickets are separate since I am renting DVC points). NOT happy about this!

It makes sense to me that you would not be able to book a FP+ on a day for which you do not have a park ticket.

I guess it really depends on who you get on the phone then. We needed to add one more day too. We were sent through the mail a whole new set of tickets. Glad they did that because we wanted to have our FP+ done on our 60 days out day.

A reminder: For those eavesdropping who bought their tickets through third party agencies such as AAA, if you try to add extra days prior to entering a park on your first park day, any discount or pre-price increase savings will be clawed back.

This can result in a somewhat higher price for the extra days compared with adding the days inside the park at Guest Relations (or anytime on a later day).
