Adding 2 guests to Space 220 Lounge ADR?

Hi! I'm wondering if anybody has had any luck adding TWO guests to a Space 220 Lounge ADR. My family of 4 will be in Orlando early next month, and I could only find a reservation for 2 for the lounge. I was originally thinking my husband could take my two sons (using the customary "add one more person" rule) and it's not a big deal for me to miss it since he and I dined at the restaurant in November already, but I'm wondering if it'd be an option for me to accompany them to the lounge next month, as well.

Anybody have any hits or misses w/this?

Thanks!

My husband threw a last minute visit into my already fixed reservations. I had gotten Space Lounge for 4 and have been unable to add 2. I hope to walk up to the restaurant as soon as it opens and ask if they can add us. If not, we'll live. (Unless I find a cancellation before then, but I need a specific date and time)

ETA: Even though I have a reservation finder in effect, I still check several times a day.

When we went in Nov there were many cancellations the week of and 24-48 hrs before (saw 5-6, but my family didn’t want to repeat). TP and MD finders worked, but I would also look a couple of times a day (while logged in) right before. It is spring break next month, so it’s a bit tough.

I would think lounge will be harder (competing against spring break crowds) vs the restaurant, so if that’s a possibility you can search for that as well.

I've been able to add one to make a party of three which was seated at a four-top. All you can do is ask if you can't change the reservation.

FYI: “add 1 more person” is not a rule. It very much depends on the restaurant’s capacity when you check in. You are not always offered that option. It depends on the restaurant’s capacity at the time you are booked. Popular restaurants at busy times may not offer adding a person. I’ve had “add 0 guests” more than once for several restaurants. Just a warning not to
count on that as a given & make backup plans, just in case.

Exactly my thoughts. There is no "customary add 1 person rule" and I'm confused about where this information is coming from. I would keep looking several times a day to see if you can get a reservation for 3 or 4. Soooo many people want to do this and give employees a hard time about it. I'm not at all saying you will. But imagine having people ask to squeeze in one more person (or multiple people) all day every day and some of those people getting fired up because the answer is no. I always think it's best to not be that person and just try to fix it myself in advance.

When we checked in for our Space 220 Lounge ADR on January 19, the MDE app said "You may add 0 guests." So as others have said above, there are no guarantees that you will be able to add a person, especially to a location that's as limited in capacity as this lounge is. Sorry.

Ohhhhh! That's good to know. We don't usually need to exercise this option, but I did recall seeing it once before when checking in. I didn't realize that could have been an exception rather than the rule. Many thanks!
