Adding 1 to ADR?

A family member from FL is coming to spend the day with us while we are at WDW. I called WDW-DINE to see if we could just add one adult to our reservations at the Akershus Princess Breakfast and at the Biergarten. They found a later ADR at the Biergarten for that evening for 3A and 3kids but could not add on to our AM ADR. Should I take this as gospel or continue trying to add one? Thanks for your help.

Keep trying, but if nothing turns up, still just go.

Disney has very few tables for five. More than likely, your original party of five will be seated at a table for six - whether you bring the 'new' person or not.

However, because of the popularity of the Akershus Princess meals, you might want to have a backup plan. That's tough, in Epcot, because isn't Akershus the only sit-down breakfast in the park? You'll probably have to 'settle' for the Electric Umbrella or Sunshine Seasons.

Thanks, that is a great idea! Don't know that we want to miss out on the Princess Breakfast, so maybe I will try the ADR for one. DH has offered to forgo the breakfast and let our guest join the kids and I, if nothing else works out. I'm thinking he can head over to Soarin' and get us some FPs for later then!

I ran into a similar situation with our upcoming trip. We needed to adjust ADR's for 12 up to 14. I don't know how it would work for your group, but for us, they gave me the direct line to our restaurants, and we were able to get them changed directly through the restaurant.

I wondered if this would be an option, maybe I will give it a try, thanks. I know my cousin would love to come to this breakfast with us...my DH has offered to give up his seat, but I would like us to experience this together as a family!
