So, the air was soo much cheaper to come back one day later so I added another day to my stay which gave me one more day of free dining. At first I picked Chef Mickeys because it was the first one I could think of but then I switched to Teppen Edo because I remember walking by it at Epcot last year and reading the menu and thinking how much fun it would be - anyone have thoughts?

I would keep your adr at Teppan Edo. We ate at Teppan Edo last year for the 1st time and had a great time. The chef is very entertaining & the food was good as well. We also enjoyed the dessert - chocolate ginger cake :thumbsup2 Needless to say, we have our adr booked for Teppan Edo this year.

We ate there last year and really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it way more than Chef Mickeys'.

If you do not have a hibachi place by you locally then I would go because it is a lot of fun...our local joint is much better, cheaper, more food and you get appies included so we usually skip TE at Epcot

Well said. I couldn't agree more. TE is a HUGE disappointment if you have a half way decent hibachi place near you. If you have never had hibachi or don't have a hibachi place near you, then it is worth the visit. If you do have a hibachi place by you, skip TE and use your TS credit elsewhere.

We love TE. We go every trip and already have our ADR for Aug. We save it for the last meal on the day we leave. We have an early lunch there and then head to the airport. We have always had plenty of food and the chefs we have had have always been great. You will really enjoy it.

Yep Yep!!!

Our family LOVES Japanese food. We seem to eat it at least twice a month. We are blessed to have several great restaurants around. I would not go back to TE, the places here are better, more food, less money.

If you DONT have a Japanese place around you, then go and have a great time.

We went for the first time in November and absolutely LOVED it! The kids didn't think that they'd like it, but they love it, too and are already asking to go back when we go back in December :)

I'd definitely keep you adr! :goodvibes

We also plan on visiting Teppan Edo this year for the first time. I was hesitant because we have a 17 month old. Do they have high chairs ?

if you're using DDP for teppan edo, sure keep it.

but there is a BeniHana on hotel plaza blvd and a Kobe not much futhur away. and IMO, Kobe is better than Teppan Edo.

you get more food @ Kobe and there is more flavor and color too it.
