Add ticket to magic band after they are shipped?

I received the bands for an upcoming trip

Guests staying with us in our DVC resort did not buy their tickets yet.
If they buy their tickets before we leave can I add them through the MDE app
Or do they have to link them to their magic bands when they get to Disney?

Nothing is actually stored on the MagicBands. Everything including the MagicBands are all linked to MDE profiles. The MagicBand is just a key to reading the data store on the profile. Once they purchase park admission and link it to their MDE profile, the MagicBand will have access to the ticket for park entry.

Yes, you can add them through the MDE app anytime. I used the scan feature after my tix came in from Undercover Tourist. Easy peasy! Like the PP mentioned, it is all linked through your MDE account. So whatever you do through there will make the difference as your magic band gets its info from MDE. (Basically)
